Walkers gives away iPod mini
Another competition…
In the UK, Walkers crisps has launched a promotion to give away an iPod mini every five minutes. On each Walkers’ packet buyers find a ten digit code they can text or email in order to enter into the next five-minute draw to win an iPod mini. A microsite supports the initiative providing people with hints and tips on the best time to submit their code.
The site also provides music news in partnership with NME.com
Two days ago this would have been seen as just some unimaginative promotion (see Henry Lambert’s piece on why the iPod is the new toaster), now the campaign is surely a joke - which spotty junk-food chomping child wants to own an iPod Mini in the playground?
