Mobile marketing proves successful for SME
Small and medium size companies using mobile marketing are reporting good results. Brandrepublic quotes a new research by Textalert saying that 72% of SMEs using text messaging reported a rise in turnover of over 10%. The article also reports the main problem SME are facing when using mobile marketing is recipients’ fear of being spammed.
It can also be very useful (as we have found) for clubs and societies. My organization uses “bulk sms” for fundraising and to remind members of charity events. I don’t think spam is a problem as long as you have permission from the person you text. In fact, people who get texts from us seem kinda proud of them.. and forward them on to their friends.
