This “interactive” race is one of the nicest uses of Youtube Annotations i’ve seen. Race your car to victory using the right elements to increase its performance, depending on the characteristics of every circuit.

Indeed it’s one of the nicest use of annotations, but makes you wonder why would anybody sacrifice user experience just to use a Youtube feature, instead of doing something more interesting and interactive outside of Youtube. The answer is, probably, to take advantage of the novelty factor within the YT community and thus gain traction (pun intended). But still…
