Boeing 747: touch and explore
Boeing have launched a web experience of their best seller, the 747. More than 20,000 photos were stitched together to form a high resolution, 17-gigapixel multidimensional photograph version of the plane. Essentially it is a demo for Microsoft Windows Touch, Azure and Silverlight, with a bit of Kinect and Surface thrown in for good measure.
The web experience, housed on Boeing’s New Airplane site requires Silverlight. It ain’t no Wilderness Downtown (Chrome) so unless you are a serious plane spotter you might not be too keen on the extra install.
