Twitter introduce user image galleries

August 23, 2011 at 11:20 by Mark Comments

Twitter now shows all the images that you’ve taken using external providers and then included in your tweets, in one organised gallery.

Aggregating all the images you’ve posted up to Twitter from a variety of imaging platforms like Twitpic, yFrog, Posterous and Instagram is a smart move and what with the recent changing of links on the platform to all show as t.co, Twitter is harnessing the key attributes of what makes the platform so successful and bringing it all inside the one ecosytem. It looks like an official analytics package isn’t going to be far off now they’re getting the key drivers for content – imaging and links all wrapped up inside the network. It will however only show imagery from 1st January 2010 onwards and up to the last 100 will be displayed.

Here’s an example of what a user gallery on Twitter looks like and there’s more info here.
