P&G’s TVC kicks off the Olympics
Let the Olympics advertising challenge begin! P&G and Wieden+Kennedy Portland go for an emotional easy yet beautiful win: celebrate the moms behind the athletes. Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, the film shows us different moms around the world getting their youngsters up in the early a.m. for training in their respective sports and follows each through the years until their moments of competitive Olympics glory.
Beautiful and inspiring work but, personally, see those small kids in the beginning I can’t help thinking about those mums also as their children’s worst nightmare. It’s great to support kids achieving their dreams, but it’s important to make sure those are really the kids dreams and not the projection of their parents wishes and their craving for success.
