Hmmm. I use AdSense on RSS and actually one of the parameters for the code is the final URL for the link. In this case I think AdSense grabs the context from the full article, not only from the RSS entry.

Does RSS Advertising work. Yes, if done right. Pheedo has a few case studies on their blog explaining that RSS advertising does work. http://www.pheedo.info/archives/cat_case_study.html
