At the risk of appearing excessively anal, isn't this ad about 10 years old? (God knows the joke is at least 50 years old.)

Yes, you are right. This ad isn't new. But I liked it...

I thought I had seen it before as well. But it's still a great play of words. Especially with a lot of people around me turning veggie, I'm liking it more every minute. Nothing against veggies, mind you. But why is it some suddenly try so desperately to convert everybody else? Just for that reason alone: this is still a great ad.

My objections to this ad are twofold:
A) It was obviously designed for the sole purpose of winning awards. (Why else would an agency as big as Fallon do an ad for a small local restaurant?)
B) The joke it's based on is older than Joan Collins, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Florence Henderson combined. (Stop me if you've heard this one before: Man walks into a restaurant, asks "Do you serve crabs?" Waiter replies "We serve anyone." Insert rim shot.)
Hate to be a party pooper, but that's just my opinion.
