Louis Vuitton Journeys

Even if the Louis Vuitton campaign shot by Annie Leibovitz, has been around for almost a year now, it's interesting to look at Web side of it. Via The FWA, I've just discovered the site the luxury brand has dedicated to the "journeys" featured in its print shots.

The latest piece of content that has been uploaded is dedicated to the "mummy" Keith Richards, and takes us on a journey throughout his London, visiting pubs, parks and more.

The whole experience on the Louis Vuitton site probably is not very original, but the quality of the content and the simple yet elegant art direction makes the difference. You get what you expect from a luxury brand, and this is the first (and probably the most important) mission that LV accomplishes. Then you also learn something new, and from a different perspective, and this scores another point for the brand.

The only negative note I have to point out, is about the weight of the videos. Even with a very good connection and a "fit" PC, when you play the videos your computer begs for more resources, generating a sobbing experience.

The agency behind the project is Ogilvy Interactive Paris.

Comments on this entry

really nice experience this site. comforting and comfortable, buggy though. It eventually crashed my browser and also produced a warning about allowing a script to continue to run--both times at transition between the stories.
