I completely agree; the idea behind this website is not original or even innovative. But I'm sure it has helped the rise of the bank.
In my opinion, I think it would have been more beneficial to provide the opinions and thoughts of customers rather than those who for the company. In the minds of a consumer, wouldn't they want to hear from others consumers rather than employees who have a biased opinion?

This takes me back to the Hall of Presidents. And yet I was compelled to listen to what what each of had to say. It's not often a bank can give you warm fuzzies like that.

I really have to applaud companies when they do this kind of damage control. Any effort to step up in the wake of any kind of failure is not only respectable but smart. I like this campaign and the face-to-face aspect makes it that much more personal. Kind of like the State Farm commercials.."this is a real story.." Hats off Societe Generale.
