Influencers, or influentials, are hot these days. The docu INFLUENCERS explores what it means to be an influencer and how creativity and trends become contagious. The 13 minute online docu is a Poloraid snapshot, and shows New York creatives talking about those who are shaping todays pop culture. Inspiring.
Not so long ago, it was so complicated to get a short film done. Not anymore with tools such as the iPhone4, so if you have one and while you get your antenna fixed, why not giving it a try at creating something that could be awarded at the iOscars?
If you've ever been to dig the entries of any advertising festival, you'll realize that the last trend is doing case-studies for every single entry. I think that sometimes it could be helpful to catch up the whole idea of, let's say, an integrated campaign, but meaningless when you're explaining the concept for a banner, do you really need a 3 minutes video to explain a rich-media banner?
Then, the good folks at Escola Cuca (in Sao Paulo, Brazil) have released this nice video on this subject (the part of "try learning chinese" made me laugh)

Pioneers in many things as they are, a couple of years ago spanish agency DoubleYou came out with a new website in which they claimed that their website was not a website anymore, as a sign of the fact that each agency and its projects generates so many information that it's quite hard making it all inside a single place. So they are not in their website anymore but anywhere else on the Internet, where their projects live, and their old website works as a traffic distribution core, just a functional place.
Boondoggle is the agency behind the extraordinaryAxion Concerts banners campaign that have been awarded in every single competition this year. And they came up with this funny video to celebrate the Lions they've won...
Art & Copy is a new documentary about advertising directed by Doug Pray and that will be screened at next Sundance Film Festival, go check their Twitter to see if they're screening near where you are, it would be nice if they'd be using it for more than just inform of an updated link but actually using it to say how's it going with the screenings and how's the response from the public.
