Back with the interviews today. Very glad to chat with Michael Hill, Founder and CEO at holler, a multi-award winning digital agency based in Sydney.
Q1. What is the number one thing about your job that gets you out of bed in the morning?
New Work. Or the possibility of new work. Our industry moves so quickly that we are constantly shifting and changing what we offer, chasing the tail of consumer behaviour. I’m not sure we’ll ever catch up but it’s pretty fun trying. In many ways it’s also a vanity thing I guess. The thought of creating something truly useful to our audience, and enviable by my peers is what drives me.
Thanks to Fast Company for sharing an inspiring video interview with John Jay, global executive creative director at Wieden and Kennedy. This is the best way you can start your week. Have your Moleskine ready, and start taking notes. Watch the video after the jump.
The CNN presents an interview with Maurice Levy, president of Publicis, the world’s fourth largest advertising company. Talking to Todd Benjamin, Mr Levy shares his ideas on leadership, personality and atmosphere and when asked whether Publicis wants to be the world’s biggest advertising company he replies: “The most important ambition in the world is not to be the biggest. You don’t need just a big checkbook to be the best. To have the best people, to attract the best client, to sell them the best work; this is a real ambition. This is a much bigger ambition than just a question of numbers.”
