Guess what … Some other racing games ! But this time you don’t drive usual cars. In the Red Bull one, you drive a soap box.
This site is pretty nice and the 3D environment is very well produced. The visuals and the all atmosphere really remind me of Little Big Planet ones. You can build your own soap box, your own track, customize your avatar, and compete against others. The game is to promote the soap box races that Red Bull is running across Europe.
In Mexico, our friends at Grupo W made a qualitative and original website for Unilever’s brand Rexona (aka Sure).
To promote its Sportfan range, the brand invites you to compete through a series of different games. You’d better perfectly know Mexican football for one of them, if not you can still enjoy the freekick game as I did!
The 8 best players will be selected, and will have the chance to follow the Mexican national football team on its way to the next World Cup. That means 4 qualification games and then 4 games in South Africa. That is in the case of the team getting qualified, if not, winners will have to find consolation with friendly games… (Rexona is an official sponsor of the team).
On BuzzingBees I’ve discovered a very cool project launched by Rexona, which integrates online and offline without forgetting to be consistent with the brand positioning (unfortunately this is not so common). The project is called Extreme Pamplona and it moves in the direction of brave and tough “real” men already seen with Stunt City and Action Hero. The idea, in this case, is to recruit crazy people to represent their country in an adrenalin-pumping chase next week in Pamplona. Unfortunately the recruiting stage is now over, but there’s still an addictive “Prince of Persia” style advergame to play. The loader (see below) it’s brilliant and made me smile, but the whole game is niceand can get you hooked for quite some time, at least until you don’t meet all the characters that populate the different levels.
A colleague passed me the link to this website. Do you remember Rexona and its Stunt City tv spot? I believe they are set to come back.. The Stunt Man asks you to crash a stunt all around the screen, once you’re done, it invites you to Action City (still under construction). Since the copyright at the bottom is Unilever, something is telling me (is it my female intuition? this is a teaser for next Rexona episode…
In Australia, Rexona has just launched an incredibly content rich advertainment website. Riskville “prepares men to take risks”, testing and challenging them with weird questions and impossible tasks. Take a look around and have fun, there is a lot to discover! (the agency behind it is Lowe Hunt).
